Raptor Bay Golf Club
Raptor Bay Golf Club opened its first eighteen holes September 2001 This par 71 championship track is designed by Raymond Floyd and is located on Florida s west coast adjacent to the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort Spa between Naples and Fort Myers This course was carved from south Florida swampland and features wide rolling fairways surrounded by wetlands and 22 acres of lakes Because there is so much water surrounding the course the architect deliberately left bunkers out of its design However there are several waste and natural vegetation areas waiting to eat up errant shots The course plays from 5,217 to 6,702 yards from five sets of tees to challenge all skill levels Raptor Bay was the first golf course in the United States to receive Audobon International s Gold Certification This certificate is given to facilities representing environmental stewardship and sustainable practices An additional nine holes are scheduled to be added in 2003 For additional information call 941 390 4610 or go to www wcigolf com
